Parents Visit

I always LOVE it when anyone comes to visit, but especially my family. This last week, my mom and Will came for a week, and my dad came for 4 days in there too. It went by too fast, but I still loved every minute of it.

While they were here, it was Will's 16th birthday. One of his main concerns is the food, so we made him a special breakfast of cinnamon raisin bread french toast. Another thing he loves is riding the Metro here.

We took him to the Spy Museum which was pretty awesome! We found out when we got there that we aren't allowed to take a stroller through there, and although they were very accomodating and gave us a front pack for Logan, he wanted to sleep and couldn't do it in there. He finally got to sleep in grandma's arms.
The next day, grandpa came too, and we tried to go to Mount Vernon (another request from Will). It was incredibly hot though, so we didn't stay long. How cute is this kid with his grandpa though?

All in all, it was a great week, and my only regret is that I didn't take many pictures. Oh and that they couldn't stay forever, because that would really be the best. :)

I call my mom every single day. I miss my family terribly. Living out here is the first time I've lived somewhere so far that I can't just drive to see my family whenever I want. Some people have lived that way for a while and it's no big deal for them, so I might sound a little babyish to those people. I guess I'm just not completely used to being this far away yet. I have grown accustomed to it because I have to, and there are a lot of things I really like about living here, but especially since having Logan, I just wish I had my family closer. That's why it's so special and important when they're here and so sad when they leave. Thanks for coming guys, can't wait to see you again soon!
